Every year we look forward to the annual EBT: The Next Generation conference, and every year it exceeds our expectations. This year was no exception.
The theme “Oceans of Opportunity” set the stage for in-depth discussions and conversations on the latest developments in EBT and where the nation’s public assistance programs want and need to go from here. Three days in Clearwater, Florida, wasn’t enough to cover the entire field, but we got a lot done! A few key impressions:
- This was perhaps the best conference ever for discussing key topics and bonding with each other; a great reminder of the powerful, dedicated community that serves EBT participants.
- For the first time, we gathered with clients for a social event on a pirate cruise! It was great to see everyone enjoy themselves while we sailed the harbor, catching up with old friends and making new ones.
- Our subject matter experts participated in panels, led roundtable discussions, and shared their expertise in EBT and WIC EBT with current and prospective clients. Topics ranged from EBT/WIC procurements to Emerging Challenges and opportunities in the industry, and we couldn’t be more proud of our team for their knowledge, dedication and commitment.
We were especially thrilled to celebrate with our client Ohio EBT for their Project of the Year award. The award is given annually for innovation and presenting a solution to a unique challenge – and this technology not only makes things easier for the state administrators who handle EBT, it improves service to the EBT participants who rely on these funds to put food on the table for their families.
This was our last EBT NextGeneration conference as Xerox; on January 1, 2017, we will become Conduent. While our company name and brand will be new in January, our strong commitment to customer and citizen satisfaction will remain unchanged. We can’t wait to see clients and colleagues again at next year’s EBT NextGeneration, back in Clearwater, Florida.
